That’s me. The thrifty housewife. Now that I’m officially unemployed, we need to stretch the dollar. It’s a good thing I’ve never been brand conscious and don’t really mind second-hand items. I got this cardi at a flea market outside Tanglin Shopping Mall for $1. YES. $1. It was almost brand new; I don’t think the previous owner wore it even once! It was that new! There was only a small patch of mildew stain which Vanish took care of. I like flea markets.
What I wear– Do you care?

I have been reading some interesting style blogs. It has to do with my obsession with trends and fashion. In particular, I like Kendi Everyday a lot. She started a 30 by 30 challenge which is truly brilliant, especially for a soon-to-be-jobless person, like me. 30 for 30 gives me ideas how to maximise my wardrobe without breaking my bank. Basically, you pick 30 items from your wardrobe, including shoes (but not including accessories )and remix the items for 30 days. You need to visit her blog to be truly inspired. What would a nerd wear is another blog I am following. You can link yourself to many other style bloggers via their blogs. Hopefully I will never have to say “I have nothing to wear” again, because really, that cannot be true. My wardrobe is bursting at its seams already.
Intially I didn’t think I would be narcisstic enough to blog about what I wear, but hell… I do have that bit of narcissim in me. haha. I don’t think I can do it as well as Kendi or Tania but I am going to give it a go to make my blog a little more interesting. So here I go.

Okkayyyy.. that’s it for now. I don’t think I will post what I wear everyday since I don’t really go out everyday. It would not be nice to post pictures of me in my PJs and ermm….un-faced. Though I am going to try to keep up with sewing and stuff. I just bought some cloth to make skirts for Chinese New Year. I hope I can make it on time.
